Monte Gelato Waterfalls

The Monte Gelato Waterfalls, within the complex of the same name, constitute one of the main tourist hubs in the province.

The waterfalls represent a privileged gateway to the system of parks and natural areas protected by the Lazio Region, where it is possible to visit medieval settlements and the remains of a Roman villa dating back to the first century B.C., as well as nature trails and more recent buildings such as the old watermill built in the 1800s and remained in operation until the 1960s.

They represent an ideal stop for a leisurely walk-in relaxation and nature, without straying too far from groomed roads and paved roads. The waterfalls can be visited daily with free admission and no reservation required; it is an entirely public area, so on holidays it can be very crowded.
